Waiting Games.
Well, I heard that all I have left to wait on for my house is the loan which we will know on the 12th. The loan officer says that there is nothing to worry about, and that I should be happy to be a future home owner. I also have word from my lawyer that the courts have sent the papers back, they are setting the date on the forfeit of parental rights as well as the adoption all in one. My lawyer is contacting the firm that comes out to do the investigation on whether my wife is eligible to adopt my daughter or not. Everything seems to be coming together. I just hope it all goes through soon.

Waiting is the absolutely worst part but keep your head up... it looks like everything is moving in your direction :)
Question who is doing your loan? What company does this Loan officer work for? Not to get too personal I just work for a pretty big mortgage company, myself...
Good luck with the wait though, if it is one of our guys may god have mercy on your wallet! LOL.... at least I can admit i work for shit, I'm not the one doing the loans....
"eligible" to adopt... what does that entail. I've never been through anything like this and I'm just curious.
I can't wait until everything is finalized for you and your family. Take a deep breath and enjoy it!

OC- i know the waiting is driving me nuts!
Becca a place called bank mutual. but i am going in on a special Garunteed Rural Housing loan that covers the downpayment, closing costs, and all the other fees in my monthly payment.
Rachael- the state sends out someone to interview the prospective adopter and find out more about their background and other variables (ie.. child molestation, sexual preditor, abuse, neglect, disownment, anything that would look bad for the childs future). and the make sure all is well, then they tell the courts that the adopter is a great match for the child, and the coursts sign it as gospel.
